Jazan University and SPA News Academy Collaborate for Academic and Professional Integration

Riyadh:Jazan University, through its College of Arts and Humanities, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the SPA News Academy to bolster academic and professional integration. The signing took place at the academy's headquarters in Riyadh and aims to expand cooperation in scientific research, consultancy, training, and development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU is designed to keep pace with rapid changes in the media industry while fostering national talent and enhancing professional readiness. It outlines plans for joint research, training, and consultancy projects. Faculty members will be involved in reviewing and developing curricula and training programs, and their participation in local and international research, development, and training initiatives will be supported. Additionally, the agreement calls for the exchange of academic, professional, and technical expertise.

For students, the MoU paves the way for participation in camps and practical programs offered by the academy. It also supports student clubs' involvement in programs and events organized by both parties to enrich students' experience in media, enhance their skills, and prepare them for professional media practice.

The areas of cooperation under the agreement include organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, professional forums, and academic, training, and development programs. It also involves coordinating media coverage of joint activities and events, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and reinforcing the integration between the university and the academy.
