Jeddah: Jeddah Municipality approved 10 temporary sites for livestock sales from vehicles during the 1447 AH Hajj season, to regulate sales operations, ensure food safety, and limit unregulated practices, in coordination with relevant security authorities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to facilitate residents' access to authorized livestock sales sites, ensure smooth traffic flow, and serve the widest possible segment of citizens and residents, while applying the highest safety and public health standards.
The municipality stressed the importance of purchasing from approved sites only, warning that violators will be subject to penalties under municipal violation regulations, in protection of consumer health and safety, in cooperation with relevant authorities.
