Riyadh: A statement has been issued by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) regarding the allegation that the Coalition Forces targeted a farm in Al-Watadah area in Khawlan Directorate of Sana'a Governorate on March 3, 2021.
According to Saudi Press Agency, JIAT investigated the incident thoroughly, reviewing all relevant documents, including air tasking orders, mission schedules, and execution procedures. They also examined after-mission reports, satellite images, open sources, and the Coalition Forces' rules of engagement in line with International Humanitarian Law.
The investigation revealed that the Al-Watadah area, located in the northeast of Khawlan Directorate in Sana'a Governorate, lacked coordinates for the location of the alleged farm. JIAT's examination of air missions carried out by Coalition Forces on March 3, 2021, the claimed date, confirmed that no air missions were conducted in the Al-Watadah area.
Further investigation into the mission schedules for the day before and after the alleged incident showed that no air missions were executed in the area on March 2, 2021, or March 4, 2021. Additionally, JIAT's search of open sources did not yield any information supporting the claim of targeting a farm in Al-Watadah.
In conclusion, JIAT determined that Coalition Forces did not target a farm in the Al-Watadah area of Khawlan Directorate, Sana'a Governorate, on the claimed date of March 3, 2021.
