Riyadh: A statement has been released by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) addressing allegations that Coalition Forces targeted an area with a missile near a house in Al-Malaheet Village, located in Haidan Directorate of Sa'ada Governorate, on February 23, 2020.
According to Saudi Press Agency, JIAT conducted a thorough review of the incident, which included examining all relevant documents such as the firing log of the Coalition Surface Forces, satellite images, and the Coalition Forces' rules of engagement. The provisions and principles of International Humanitarian Law were also considered. After assessing all available evidence, JIAT confirmed that Al-Malaheet Village is situated in the western part of Sa'ada Governorate.
The investigation into the surface missions carried out by the Coalition Forces on the date in question revealed that no firing using fire support weapons occurred in Al-Malaheet Village. Furthermore, JIAT's search through open sources did not yield any information supporting the claim of a missile strike near a house in the specified location.
In conclusion, JIAT determined that the allegations of Coalition Forces targeting the area with a missile on February 23, 2020, were unfounded, as no such incident took place near a house in Al-Malaheet Village in Haidan Directorate.
