Jubail: Jubail Industrial City features an extensive network of beaches, parks, and recreational areas distributed throughout its neighborhoods, which have been transformed into open community spaces hosting family activities and educational events.
According to Saudi Press Agency, these venues offer integrated experiences, including playgrounds and environmental initiatives that strengthen children's connection with nature and the community, with nearly 500 playgrounds across the city dedicated to children.
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu aims to enhance children's quality of life by adopting the concept of "Learning Cities" and translating its objectives into tangible daily programs and initiatives that integrate education, recreation, culture, and sports.
Head of the social activities department at the commission's social services administration, Omar Al-Hamad, told the Saudi Press Agency that the commission has adopted a strategy that goes beyond the traditional school setting by providing an integrated environment where learning becomes part of children's daily lives in Jubail Industrial City. This is achieved through clubs, libraries, creative workshops, community events, and seasonal activities that develop children's skills and foster innovation and discovery, while ensuring that families remain essential partners in shaping children's character.
He added that the commission is committed to achieving comprehensive and inclusive child well-being by designing facilities and programs that accommodate individual differences and the needs of children with disabilities, reinforcing the values of social inclusion, fairness, and equal opportunity.
