Kidana Expands Pedestrian Shading Works Across Mina Walkways

Makkah: Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, continues its project to shade pedestrian walkways in Mina as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project, in its two phases, has achieved a total shaded area exceeding 103,000 square meters. This includes the operation of 990 misting fans to cool the air in crowded passageways and the installation of 72 new misting fans in newly developed areas.

The project aims to provide a more comfortable and safer environment, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind, particularly during peak times, by reducing direct sunlight exposure along key routes.
