Kidana Redefines the Pilgrimage Experience with Universal Accessibility Upgrades

Makkah: Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, is reinforcing the concept of universal accessibility across the holy sites by significantly upgrading infrastructure and services specifically designed to assist elderly pilgrims and those with disabilities, ensuring seamless mobility and enhanced facility access.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of a comprehensive vision to create a more inclusive and streamlined environment, Kidana has developed specialized pathways and entrances at key arrival zones. The infrastructure upgrades feature restrooms and building entrances that have been meticulously redesigned to enhance comfort and independent use. In the healthcare sector, Kidana has expedited access to medical care by establishing direct, obstacle-free pathways to clinics and hospitals in the holy sites. Furthermore, informational signs in Braille have been installed within healthcare facilities to provide clear guidance, ensuring safe and easy navigation for visually impaired pilgrims.
