Riyadh: The Saudi Falcons Club announced the addition of two rounds for Mongolian falcons in the Al-Milwah (400-meter) race at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025. The festival will take place from December 25, 2025, to January 10, 2026, at the club's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, these rounds underscore the festival's expansion in competitive categories and the diversification of participants. The Mongolian falcon round features a prize pool of SAR337,000, which will be awarded to the top ten finishers.
The festival has also introduced the elite Mongolian falcons round, which offers a total prize money of SAR550,000.
Falconers favor Mongolian falcons for their large size, long wingspan, endurance, varied plumage, and exceptional hunting skills, as well as their resilience to harsh climates and responsiveness to training.
