Riyadh: King Abdulaziz University has signed several agreements with international and local entities to advance scientific research and foster innovation in vital sectors such as AI, renewable energy, and water desalination, during the First Conference of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Saudi Universities, hosted by the university.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese technology company, which serves as the official representative of the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This partnership focuses on leveraging AI technologies to address desertification, improve water management, and enhance environmental security in Saudi Arabia.
The university also signed several local agreements with various companies specializing in AI and data science, alongside a research and consulting collaboration to support applied studies.
These agreements underscore King Abdulaziz University's commitment to strengthening its role as a leading research institution and a key partner in the localization of knowledge, contributing to the development of national capabilities in advanced technologies and future sciences.
