KSA Provides Food Aid to Support Jordanian Airdrop for Palestinians in Gaza Strip

Riyadh: In the presence of the advisor at the Royal Court and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) General Supervisor Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Saudi Arabia provided food aid to Jordan. The aid is represented by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and is to be delivered to the Jordanian Hashemite Armed Forces (Arab Army) and the relevant authorities. The aid will then be delivered to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through an airdrop operation as part of the Saudi popular campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the enclave. The aid, which weighs 30 tons, is part of the Kingdom's recent delivery of parachutes and nets designed for humanitarian airdrop operations. It is intended to support Jordan's humanitarian efforts to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis there. Since the beginning of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, KSrelief has launched a popular campaign through the "S ahem" platform to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the enclave. The value of its donations has reached more than SAR 700 million. The Kingdom has also launched an air bridge from which 54 aircraft have arrived and a sea bridge from which eight ships have arrived. The Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip has received 20 ambulances equipped with the latest first-aid equipment, 30 electrical generators, and 10 water tanks. In addition, more than 500 convoys have passed through the Rafah border crossing so far. Meanwhile, the center's in-kind assistance to the Gaza Strip amounted to more than 6,546 tons of various relief materials. KSrelief has signed five agreements with several international organizations to provide relief to the Palestinian people in Gaza, totaling $8.75 million, demonstrating the Kingdom's commitment to delivering urgent humanitarian and relief aid to the affected areas in the Gaza Strip in various possible ways to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in light of the current humanitarian crisis.
