Riyadh: Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, met with the Acting Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Carl Skau, at the center's headquarters today. The meeting centered on enhancing cooperation in humanitarian and relief efforts, particularly in providing food assistance to vulnerable populations worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions between Dr. Al Rabeeah and Skau focused on shared interests in humanitarian aid and explored ways to bolster the collaboration between KSrelief and the WFP. The partnership aims to address the urgent food needs of affected regions, emphasizing the importance of sustained and strategic support.
Following the meeting, Carl Skau toured the offices of KSrelief's partner organizations and international bodies, guided by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz. This visit highlighted the operational synergy and strategic alliances that have been cultivated over more than a decade of partnership.
In a press statement, Skau commended the strategic partnership between KSrelief and the WFP, noting its comprehensive nature that transcends financial aid to include innovative exchanges and humanitarian diplomacy. The discussions also covered the collaborative humanitarian efforts in regions such as Sudan, Yemen, Syria, and Gaza, where food insecurity remains a pressing challenge.
