KSrelief and UNDP Join Forces to Enhance Crisis Response Strategies

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), recently conducted a workshop in Riyadh on November 18 and 19. The focus of the workshop was to advance the nexus approach to humanitarian, development, and peace efforts in global crisis response.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop provided an in-depth overview of the nexus approach, emphasizing its importance and practical implementation. Participants delved into detailed case studies from regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan.

The discussions during the workshop concentrated on identifying the primary obstacles in applying the nexus approach and explored opportunities to enhance coordination among humanitarian, development, and peace actors. The aim was to boost collective capacity to address urgent needs, prevent conflict, and support sustainable recovery efforts.

This initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration between KSrelief and the United Nations and its specialized agencies. It underscores joint efforts to exchange expertise and develop more effective mechanisms for responding to global humanitarian crises.
