Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully completed a project to drill 20 medium-depth wells in Nigeria. The initiative, which took place between October 2, 2025, and February 9, 2026, aims to bolster water security and elevate the quality of life for some of the nation's most vulnerable communities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project involved the construction of wells ranging from 100 to 120 meters in depth. These wells are equipped with water storage tanks and solar-powered systems, ensuring the provision of safe and clean drinking water. The initiative is expected to significantly reduce the occurrence of waterborne diseases and improve living conditions for approximately 95,000 people.
This project underscores the ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief. By supporting the water sector, the project not only fosters a healthier environment but also contributes to the economic empowerment of communities in need.
