KSrelief Delivers Medical Supplies to Combat Cholera in Yemen’s Hadhramaut Coast

Hadhramaut: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided a variety of medical supplies to the Ministry of Public Health and Population Office in Yemen's Hadhramaut Coast. This delivery is part of the Emergency Response Project for Cholera in Yemen and aims to enhance the readiness of health facilities in combating the cholera outbreak.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Hadhramaut Local Council Secretary-General Saleh Al-Omqi commended the center's humanitarian intervention and its significant role in containing the cholera outbreak. He affirmed that the support is vital in improving the operational readiness of health facilities. Al-Omqi also expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its ongoing support in bolstering the resilience of Yemen's health system amidst epidemic crises.

The project focuses on the most affected areas with the goal of reducing infection rates and limiting the spread of cholera. This is achieved through specialized medical teams tasked with monitoring travelers at land and air entry points across several governorates, including Aden and Hadhramaut. The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 1,153,000 individuals.

The effort underscores the Kingdom's continued commitment to strengthening healthcare measures and combating the cholera epidemic in Yemen through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief.
