KSrelief Launches 3 Volunteer Medical Programs in Damascus as Part of Saudi Amal Volunteer Program

Damascus: The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) on Wednesday launched three volunteer medical programs in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the programs encompass cochlear implants, auditory rehabilitation, pediatric tumor treatment, and orthopedic surgery. These initiatives are part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program aimed at assisting the Syrian people, scheduled to run from February 5 to 12. The program involves several volunteers from various medical specialties.

Since the commencement of the campaign, KSrelief's volunteer medical team has successfully performed 22 tumor surgery operations, 12 cochlear implant surgeries, 4 pediatric surgeries, 5 pediatric orthopedic surgeries, and 6 orthopedic and joint replacement surgeries.

The initiative aims to conduct 104 campaigns across medical and surgical fields, offering training, educational programs, and economic empowerment for needy individuals in several Syrian cities. It involves more than 3,000 volunteers and is part of a series of volunteer medical projects by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to enhance Syria's healthcare sector.
