Amman: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) today signed a joint agreement with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) to implement the fourth phase of meeting the food and nutritional needs of Syrian refugees in Al-Zaatari camp in Jordan. The agreement, signed by the Director of the KSrelief's branch in Jordan, Naif bin Saleh Al-Shammari, and the WFP Representative and Regional Director in Jordan, Alberto Correa Mendez, at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Embassy headquarters in Amman, will benefit 49,813 individuals, 10,673 families, with a total worth of $12,800,000 million. This agreement will provide a grant to the WFP to distribute monthly electronic vouchers to beneficiaries in Al-Zaatari camp, Al-Mafraq governorate, using fingerprint technology or electronic wallets. These vouchers will be credited with food items that the beneficiaries can use in shops and bakeries in the camps. The event was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Non-resident A mbassador-designate to the State of Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi. This initiative is a part of the relief and humanitarian projects implemented by KSrelief to support Syrian refugees and improve their living conditions in various refugee environments.
