Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a contract on Monday at the Saudi embassy in Manila to secure relief assistance, in coordination and cooperation with the Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) at the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development, to implement a project providing assistance to those affected by the Mindanao earthquake in the Philippines. The project will benefit around 120,000 people.
According to Saudi Press Agency, under the agreement, 15,500 personal care kits, 15,500 shelter kits, and 150 mobile toilets will be provided at camps for those affected in various municipalities. The agreement is part of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to support people affected by disasters and crises, provide them with essential needs, and alleviate their suffering.
