KSrelief Signs Cooperation Agreement to Operate Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Yemen’s Aden

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has signed virtually a cooperation agreement with the International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims to implement the ninth phase of operating the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Aden Governorate, Yemen. The agreement aims to provide vital rehabilitation services to those in need in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was formalized by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor-General for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, and the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, Dr. Muawiya Mahmoud Harsouni. This initiative will focus on delivering physical rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities, supporting their community integration, and ensuring follow-up care.

The project will include patient diagnosis, development of individualized treatment plans, and fitting of various prosthetic limbs. Furthermore, it will provide functional rehabilitation services for prosthetic and orthopedic devices while enhancing the professional and scientific capacities of medical and technical staff. The initiative is projected to benefit 7,142 individuals, offering significant support to those affected by disabilities.

This agreement is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to humanitarian and relief efforts, executed through KSrelief, to mitigate the challenges faced by the Yemeni population amid the continuing humanitarian crisis.
