Socotra: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday distributed 20 fishing boats equipped with engines and 50 safety kits to fishermen affected by recent cyclones in the Socotra Archipelago.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is a core component of the KSrelief Sustainable Agriculture and Fisheries Empowerment Project, which aims to enhance economic resilience across Yemen through the distribution of a total of 90 fishing boats with engines and 150 safety kits across several governorates. These ongoing efforts reflect the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to implementing global best practices in supporting the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
By providing direct assistance to small-scale farmers and fishermen, the Kingdom continues to play a pivotal role in fostering food security and sustainable development for the brotherly people of Yemen.
