Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) is set to host the International Conference on Conjoined Twins on November 24-25, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program. According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference will feature participation from various government entities, including the ministries of national guard, defense, foreign affairs, health, education, and media. In addition to local participation, international humanitarian and medical organizations, experts, and researchers from around the globe will also attend. Notably, conjoined twins from different countries who have undergone separation surgeries along with their families will be present at the event. The two-day conference will include humanitarian and scientific sessions, an exhibition, and events that highlight Saudi Arabia's leadership in the humanitarian sector, particularly through the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program. This initiative is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of the Kingdom's healthcare and humanitarian services. During the conference, agreements are anticipated with United Nations and other international organizations focusing on global child welfare. This underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, especially children. The conference is expected to issue significant recommendations in both medical and humanitarian fields, providing a valuable resource for specialists and individuals interested in conjoined twin separation and humanitarian work.
