KSrelief’s Masam Project Clears 839 Mines in Yemen in One Week

Riyadh: Project Masam, implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), successfully removed 839 mines from various parts of Yemen during the first week of May. The clearance included 95 anti-tank mines, 12 anti-personnel mines, 721 items of unexploded ordnance, and 11 improvised explosive devices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this recent effort brings the total number of mines removed since the launch of Project Masam to 558,855. These mines were planted indiscriminately across Yemeni territory, posing significant threats to the lives of innocent children, women, and the elderly, and instilling fear among civilians.

Through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its mission to clear mines from Yemeni territory. The project aims to enhance civilian safety and enable the Yemeni people to live in dignity and security.
