Yemen: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam Project for Clearing Landmines in Yemen removed 1,009 mines across various regions of Yemen during the last week of April 2026, including 78 anti-tank mines, three anti-personnel mines, and 928 pieces of unexploded ordnance.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the total number of mines removed since the beginning of April has reached 6,827, while the total removed since the launch of the Masam project has reached 558,016. These mines had been indiscriminately planted across Yemen, posing threats to civilians, including children, women, and older people.
Through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, enhancing civilian safety and enabling the Yemeni people to live in dignity and security.
