Libraries Commission Launches Children’s Reading Event to Mark World Children’s Day

Dammam: The Libraries Commission has launched a three-day children's reading event held across the houses of culture in Dammam, Ahad Rafidah, Riyadh, Hail, Buraidah, Sakaka, Najran, and Jizan, in celebration of World Children's Day.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event offers children a rich cultural experience designed to enhance reading habits, nurture curiosity, and encourage exploration through a series of interactive activities that take young participants on a creativity-filled journey.

The program includes workshops developed to stimulate imagination, enhance expressive abilities, and bring books closer to children's everyday interests, helping build a lasting connection between young readers and reading within a safe and inspiring environment.

The initiative is part of a broader set of pathways that enrich the experience of both children and their families, spanning workshops for parents and children, recreational and experiential programs, and personal-expression spaces, all aimed at providing a holistic learning journey that meets children's needs and supports their growth and discovery.
