Madinah Governor Inspects Haramain High-Speed Railway Station for Hajj Season Readiness

Madinah: Governor of Madinah Region Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz inspected the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station in Madinah, accompanied by Deputy Governor of Madinah Region Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud. This inspection was part of the follow-up on operational readiness plans and services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the field tour, the governor reviewed the station's readiness and passenger services between Makkah and Madinah. The focus was on the level of operational integration which contributes to facilitating pilgrims' movement and ensuring smooth transit.

The governor emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and enhancing operational readiness. He stressed the need for raising the level of coordination among relevant entities to ensure the provision of high-quality services to pilgrims, facilitating their movement between the two cities with ease and reassurance.

Furthermore, the governor examined the station's operational facilities, crowd management plans, and the level of integration with relevant entities to ensure smooth passenger movement during the season. The tour also included a review of the Haramain High-Speed Railway initiative, implemented in cooperation with Harakiat Al Haramayn, designed to transport persons with disabilities to the Prophet's Mosque free of charge.
