Madinah Hospitality Association Ramadan Initiatives Reach Nearly 500,000 Beneficiaries

Madinah: Madinah Hospitality Association contributed to reaching nearly half a million beneficiaries from its Ramadan initiatives by Monday, Ramadan 27, 1447 AH, as part of a package of charitable programs and field services carried out in partnership with several government and private entities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the association's Ramadan initiatives included the 'Prophet's Mosque Iftar' program, which provided 192,996 meals to fasting individuals in the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque, and the 'Pilgrims' Water Distribution' program, which distributed 111,800 water bottles in areas with high visitor density. It also implemented the 'Iftar Distribution Points' project, delivering 109,500 meals across neighborhoods and visitor assembly locations, in addition to the 'Visitor Support' program, which benefited 69,842 individuals, including patients, elderly people, and persons with disabilities.

The association noted that these efforts were carried out across several service outlets, including Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Haramain High-Speed Railway station, and the departure and dispatch center for pilgrims and Umrah performers on Hijrah Road, contributing to enriching the experience of pilgrims from their arrival in Madinah until their departure.

The association recorded 3,675 volunteer hours provided by 730 male and female volunteers who participated in crowd management, meal distribution, water services, and field support, reflecting the spirit of volunteerism and enhancing the contribution of the non-profit sector in serving Umrah performers and visitors.
