Madinah: Madinah Region secured the second-highest tourism performance in Saudi Arabia during the first half of 2025, welcoming 10,433,982 visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the region followed only Makkah in total visitor numbers, contributing significantly to the Kingdom's overall total of 60.9 million domestic and international tourists.
The region's diverse visitor patterns include 321,700 international travelers arriving as a primary destination, 6.4 million visitors stopping through as a secondary destination, and 3.6 million domestic tourists.
Total tourism spending in Madinah reached SAR6.2 billion, with an average of SAR1,560 per trip and SAR201 per night. While current patterns remain predominantly religious and family-oriented, the report highlights significant opportunities to increase average spending by diversifying tourism products, expanding recreational activities, and developing high-quality, immersive experiences.
