Madinah: Visitors to Madinah are drawn to its historic mosques, which offer a tangible connection to the era of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One of the key historical sites, Qiblatain Mosque, situated 5 kilometers west of the Prophet's Mosque, holds significant importance. It is renowned as the precise spot where the Qibla was redirected towards Makkah during a Dhuhr prayer led by the Prophet.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in efforts to enhance visitor experience, the mosque is being expanded to accommodate 3,000 worshippers. The project includes the development of a cultural center, improved road access, and the installation of modern amenities like escalators and elevators.
The recently opened northeast squares, part of the Al-Qiblatain Cultural Center, offer shaded outdoor areas and new parking facilities, ensuring greater accessibility.
