Jeddah: Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz received in Jeddah today Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Hilal Al Mushaiti and several ministry officials. Prince Saud reviewed preparations across the ministry's sectors and operational plans for the 1447 AH Hajj season, as well as readiness to provide services to pilgrims according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the presentation showed 100% readiness through the implementation of 36 key tasks. These include raising slaughterhouse efficiency, ensuring adequate supply of Hady and Udhiyah animals, strengthening oversight of slaughter and distribution, updating prices electronically, advancing waste management, and using modern technologies such as drones and smart surveillance.
The operational ecosystem has a capacity of approximately 120,000 head per day and is supported by more than 57 field teams and 341 vehicles.
