Istanbul: The Makkah Route Initiative in Istanbul has established a leading model for comprehensive care of elderly pilgrims, who are given special attention through a range of proactive services to facilitate their journey from the outset and ensure greater comfort and peace of mind.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative has eased travel through an integrated system that allows pilgrims to complete all procedures in their country of departure, avoiding multiple agencies and long waiting times.
These services encompass passport control, health verification, biometric data collection, and baggage tagging electronically linked to pilgrims' accommodations, allowing them to proceed directly to their residences in Makkah and Madinah without waiting in airport terminals.
Several elderly pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the services, noting that they have greatly eased their travel procedures.
The initiative is implemented by specialized Saudi teams working in close coordination to enhance service quality.
