Makkah Route Initiative Team in Bangladesh Serves Pilgrims with Efficiency

Makkah: The Makkah Route Initiative team, comprising Saudi men and women in the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is committed to serving pilgrims and facilitating their travel to Makkah to perform Hajj and visit the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah with ease.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the team working on the initiative is serving pilgrims by facilitating their travel procedures through the dedicated terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. The process is carried out efficiently using state-of-the-art technology and AI systems, beginning with verifying that pilgrims have obtained electronic Hajj visas and meet all health requirements. Luggage is then sorted and labeled before being transported to pilgrims' accommodations in Makkah and Madinah according to their registered addresses.

Since its launch in 2017, the Makkah Route Initiative has served 1,254,994 pilgrims. This year, the Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in 10 countries through 17 international entry points.
