Mango Season Begins in Umluj Governorate

Umluj: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's branch in Tabuk Region announced the start of the mango season in Umluj Governorate, coinciding with the commencement of harvesting activities across local farms.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Director General of the branch, Eng. Amjad bin Abdullah Thallab, stated that Umluj is one of the region's leading mango-producing governorates. The area boasts more than 90,000 mango trees and an estimated annual yield of 4,500 tons, covering a variety of mango cultivars.

He noted that this year's mango season is witnessing an abundant yield and high quality. This reflects the development of the agricultural sector and increased production efficiency. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting farmers through programs and to promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
