Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has successfully concluded the Mawhiba Summer 2026 programs, conducted in 19 cities across five countries. The programs saw participation from more than 12,000 gifted male and female students from Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiatives were hosted by 53 academic and research institutions as well as specialized educational entities located in Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These partnerships offered students advanced learning environments along with varied scientific experiences.
Mawhiba Summer included diverse scientific and enrichment programs both domestically and internationally, such as the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, the Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program, the Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program, the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, and the Video Game Development Program. Additionally, specialized technology programs were part of the curriculum.
The initiatives were executed through 88 enrichment modules aimed at expanding student knowledge and developing skills across numerous scientific and technological fields. Mawhiba Secretary General Abdulaziz Alkaridis emphasized that Mawhiba Summer demonstrates the integration of national efforts to nurture and empower gifted students via qualitative programs. He noted that these initiatives align with national priorities and are implemented in partnership with universities and academic and research institutions in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
