Media Forum Underscores Saudi Arabia’s Entertainment Sector as Economic Powerhouse

Riyadh: TAIT Chief Executive of the Middle East and North Africa Soren West highlighted that Saudi Arabia's entertainment sector has become a significant economic force and a catalyst for investment, contributing to economic diversification and cultural diplomacy.

According to Saudi Press Agency, West spoke at a session on the second day of the Saudi Media Forum 2026 in Riyadh. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia has effectively utilized global partnerships to produce content that is both uniquely Saudi and accessible on a global scale, enhancing the international presence of Saudi culture.

West mentioned that over 60% of Saudi Arabia's population is under 30, identifying this demographic as a unique investment opportunity within the entertainment and media industry. He highlighted the importance of empowering the private sector to ensure the sustainability of the entertainment sector and achieve long-term growth.

He noted that Saudi Arabia has transitioned from being merely a consumer of entertainment to a global producer of creative content, with a strategic focus on exporting culture both locally and internationally.
