Riyadh: Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met in Riyadh with Minister of Environment and Energy of the Hellenic Republic Stavros Papastavrou. Discussions covered cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, clean hydrogen, carbon-reduction technologies, and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), within the framework of the memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation between the two countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting emphasized the significance of enhancing bilateral ties through energy initiatives. The dialogue highlighted the shared interests in advancing technologies that support carbon reduction and sustainable energy practices. The memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia and Greece serves as a foundation for these collaborative efforts, aiming to strengthen the countries' roles in the global energy sector.
