Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to head Saudi Arabia’s delegation in 9th session of Saudi-South African Committee in Pretoria

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef will head Saudi Arabia’s delegation in the ninth session of Joint Saudi-South African Committee to be held in Pretoria in the Republic of South Africa on October 3-4.

The Committee will discuss promoting the development of trade exchange, taking advantage of the opportunities available between the two countries to establish more joint investment projects, deepening the comprehensive areas of cooperation between the two countries in the sectors of energy, industry, mining, agriculture, transportation, culture, tourism and other areas.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia’s exports to the Republic of South Africa in 2021 AD amounted to more than 12 billion riyals of oil exports and 3 billion riyals of non-oil exports, while the value of Saudi non-oil imports from South Africa amounted to 3.14 billion riyals. Saudi exports concentrated on a number of sectors including petrochemicals, building materials, packaging and textiles.
