Riyadh: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail inaugurated the second edition of Cityscape Global 2024, recognized as the world's largest real estate event. The event, themed "The Future of Living," witnessed the presence of senior officials from government agencies, real estate companies, developers, and financing entities. According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister Al-Hogail announced the launch of strategic projects and agreements valued at over SAR180 billion, marking a significant increase of more than 50 percent from the event's first edition. He emphasized the accelerated growth of the Saudi real estate sector, crediting the leadership's support for establishing a conducive environment for real estate investment, which is crucial for sustainable sectoral development. Minister Al-Hogail highlighted that the number of local real estate developers participating in this edition has doubled to over 100, with international developers numbering 69. This surge is attributed to the consistent growth in real estate transactions, which have surpassed SAR630 billion since the year's start. The sector is a key economic engine, contributing significantly to economic diversification. Cityscape Global 2024 hosts experts and specialists from numerous sectors, featuring the Real Estate Investors Forum, which includes 150 investors from 22 countries. The forum aims to enhance cooperation in investment projects and establish a central hub for investment and opportunities. The four-day event is being held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh. Organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, it is in partnership with the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) and the Housing Program, a pivotal initiative of Saudi Vision 2030. The exhibition is managed by Tahaluf, a joint venture involving the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, the Events Investment Fund, and global company Informa.
