Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Engages with CARICOM Leaders

Basseterre: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir held a series of high-level meetings in Basseterre, the capital of Saint Kitts and Nevis, on the sidelines of the 50th Conference of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government Meeting, to strengthen bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the Caribbean nations and explore avenues for cooperation across various sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister met with Cooperative Republic of Guyana President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Republic of Suriname President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley, Saint Lucia Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, Jamaica Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness, and Commonwealth of Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.

During these meetings, Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with their wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the CARICOM nations.

The Caribbean leaders reciprocated these sentiments, expressing their appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
