Riyadh: The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 201 new mining licenses in December 2025, as part of its efforts to develop the mining sector and enhance its contribution to diversifying the Kingdom's national economy.
According to Saudi Press Agency, spokesperson for the ministry Jarrah Al-Jarrah stated that the newly issued licenses included 159 exploration licenses, 20 mining and small-scale mine exploitation licenses, 18 building materials quarry licenses, two reconnaissance licenses, and two surplus mineral ore licenses.
He added that the total number of valid mining licenses reached 2,925 by the end of December.
