Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Islamic Union of North Macedonia Sign MoU

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and the Presidency of the Islamic Union of the Republic of North Macedonia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today in Skopje, the Macedonian capital. The MoU was signed by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Awad bin Sabti Al-Anazi, and President of the Islamic Union of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mufti Sheikh Hafiz Sakir Efendi Fetahu. The signing was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Albania, Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi, along with several Macedonian senior officials and media representatives. The MoU outlines cooperation between the two parties in several areas. This includes introducing Islam and clarifying its virtues and tolerance through the exchange of research, books, and scientific publications, holding scientific seminars, and joint training courses for Islamic affairs workers. Additionally, the MoU covers organizing joint exhibitions to promote Islam, participating in Islamic conference s and seminars, and implementing recommendations from these events. Collaboration on mosque maintenance is also a key aspect, with plans to exchange experiences in training mosque employees and holding joint workshops on mosque architecture and maintenance. The MoU further addresses serving the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet's Sunnah by exchanging experiences in Qur'an printing and translation, and providing copies of publications from the King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex. It also includes exchanging invitations to participate in Qur'an memorization and recitation competitions, sharing rules and regulations, and exchanging experiences related to Qur'an manuscripts.
