Riyadh: Mobile gaming has made a strong presence at the Esports World Cup, hosted by Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, proving that competition on the small screen is just as exciting as its counterparts on specialized electronic gaming devices. According to Saudi Press Agency, while many believe mobile gaming is less professional, the reality within the tournament has revealed professional players with exceptional skills in control, speed, and tactics, using limited tools, namely a touchscreen. The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) for women kicked off on Tuesday, bringing together an elite group of international female mobile gaming stars. 16 teams are participating from 13 different regions around the world, competing for prizes totaling $500,000, in addition to $50,000 awarded to the best player in the tournament. The tournament aims to promote women's presence in Esports, as the game is witnessing increasing growth among women's clubs and international participants.
