Moderate to Heavy Thunderstorms Forecasted in Najran, Jazan, and Surrounding Regions

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has predicted moderate to heavy thunderstorms that could lead to flash floods, accompanied by hail, in parts of the Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Additionally, light to moderate rain showers are expected in parts of the Eastern, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions. These areas, along with the Tabuk and Madinah regions, may also experience gusty winds that could stir up dust.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds ranging from 15 to 38 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are projected to range from one meter to one and a half meters, indicating relatively calm sea conditions.

In contrast, the Arabian Gulf will experience northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds between 15 and 50 km/h. Wave heights in this area are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, leading to sea conditions that could vary from calm to choppy.
