Jeddah: The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), today organized a meeting titled "MODON's Role in Exports" as part of Export and Import Week activities, at the SMEs support center in Jeddah, with the participation of entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprise owners, stakeholders, specialists, and experts in logistics and exports.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions highlighted the role of logistics services in supporting exporters and expanding the reach of Saudi products in global markets. The discussions also reviewed available services and solutions to help businesses access and expand in international markets, as well as the infrastructure provided by industrial cities, including road networks, power, water, and advanced logistics services that facilitate the transportation and overseas shipment of goods.
MODON brings interconnected factories together in one location to reduce production costs and improve the efficiency of export-oriented supply chains. It also provides incentives and facilities to attract global companies to establish factories and direct their production toward international markets, supporting the transfer and localization of modern technologies, improving the quality of Saudi products to meet international standards, and helping diversify income sources and increase non-oil and non-traditional exports.
The meeting is part of Monsha'at's efforts to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem and enable SMEs to capitalize on global market opportunities and expand internationally.
