Riyadh: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail will begin a visit to the People's Republic of China from June 13 to 16, 2026, to discuss cooperation in housing, real estate development, infrastructure, and smart city technologies, and to inaugurate the Saudi-Chinese contractors forum with broad participation from government entities, companies, investors, and contractors from both countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visit aims to strengthen economic and development relations between Saudi Arabia and China and expand cooperation in support of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives for developing the municipal and housing sector and raising the efficiency of urban development.
The minister will also hold meetings with Chinese officials and leaders of leading Chinese companies in modern construction, manufacturing, digital technologies, and smart city solutions, and review advanced practices in urban development and facilities management.
The visit is an extension of the ministry's efforts to build effective international partnerships that contribute to knowledge transfer, technology localization, and enhance private sector participation in development projects, reflecting positively on quality of life and service efficiency.
