Muslim Council of Elders Condemns Approval of 19 West Bank Settlements

Riyadh: The Muslim Council of Elders issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation's recent decision to establish and legalize 19 settlements across the occupied West Bank.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the council expressed its categorical rejection of these provocative actions, asserting that they are designed to fundamentally alter the legal and historical status of the Palestinian territories.

The council characterized the move as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international law, directly undermining global efforts to secure a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

The Muslim Council of Elders called upon the international community to honor its legal and moral obligations. The statement emphasized the urgent need to end the seven-decade-long suffering of the Palestinian people and urged global powers to support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
