MWL Condemns Attack on UNIFIL in Southern Lebanon

Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned the attack targeting the French battalion of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the attack targeting United Nations peacekeeping forces in Lebanon.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Issa reiterated the MWL's position of rejecting and condemning the targeting of United Nations organizations and their missions, as part of its broader rejection of all acts of violence and terrorism. He emphasized that such attacks breach international obligations concerning the safety and security of UN personnel.

Al-Issa further offered condolences to the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery, underscoring the importance of upholding international laws that ensure the protection of peacekeeping missions globally.
