Mecca: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the Israeli government's ongoing closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque gates to Muslim worshippers during Ramadan. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced this action as an assault on the sanctity of Islamic holy sites.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in preventing these persistent violations of religious sanctity in Jerusalem.
