Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned Iran's recent targeting of two tankers, the Saudi vessel Wedyan and the Qatari tanker Al Rekayyat, as they navigated through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
According to Saudi Press Agency, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa issued a statement denouncing the repeated criminal actions by Iran. These acts, he stated, not only breach religious values but also violate international and humanitarian laws, posing a threat to regional security and stability.
Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the MWL's unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and Qatar, endorsing any measures these nations undertake to protect their security, vessels, and national interests. He urged Iran to halt activities that jeopardize regional security, compromise the safety of international navigation, and threaten the stability of global energy supplies.
