MWL Welcomes Human Rights Council’s Resolution Condemning Iran’s Attacks on Gulf States and Jordan

Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the United Nations Human Rights Council's unanimous adoption of a resolution addressing the grave human rights consequences of Iran's blatant and unlawful aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa praised the council's principled stance. He commended its unequivocal condemnation of the aggression, its call for an immediate halt, and its demand for accountability, particularly in light of the serious violations and far-reaching, unprecedented consequences for human rights, both regionally and globally.

He also referenced the World Food Programme's warning that an additional 45 million people could be pushed into acute hunger as a result of this destructive escalation.

Al-Issa stressed that the unanimous adoption of the resolution sends a clear message to the Iranian regime, reflecting a united international position that firmly rejects and condemns such actions carried out under false pretexts.
