Najran Expands Green Spaces to Enhance Urban Landscape

Najran: The Najran Municipality continues to implement various environmental and landscaping initiatives to enhance vegetation cover and improve the urban landscape, supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals of improving quality of life and promoting environmental care.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality has carried out extensive greening work across 24 sites in Najran city, planting a total of 8,487 trees. These trees include 20 types of local species well-suited to the region's environment and have been strategically distributed across key locations throughout the city.

Municipality Spokesman Abdullah Alfadel stated that these efforts aim to expand green spaces and public parks, combat desertification, improve the visual landscape of residential neighborhoods and main streets, and provide a safe, healthy recreational environment for citizens and residents.

He emphasized that the municipality ensures regular maintenance and irrigation of the trees, employing modern irrigation systems to reduce water consumption while sustaining the vegetation cover and preserving the city's overall aesthetic appeal.
