Barcelona: The National Center for Archives and Records will lead the Saudi delegation participating in the International Council on Archives (ICA) Congress in Barcelona, Spain, from October 27 to 30, alongside several Saudi government entities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's participation underscores its ongoing partnership with the ICA. Saudi Arabia was elected as a member of the council's Executive Board and has chaired the ICA's Arab Regional Branch between 2022 and 2025. The country has achieved notable successes in boosting joint Arab cooperation and advancing international collaboration in the archival field through various programs and initiatives with counterpart institutions worldwide.
Through its participation, the center aims to showcase the Kingdom's accomplishments in documentation and archiving. It seeks to highlight efforts to preserve and present documentary heritage in a manner that reflects Saudi Arabia's regional and global status.
